Phoebe Pharmacy is continuing to offer COVID-19 boosters for eligible employees and residents of long term care communities. Booster doses have been authorized by the FDA, and are safe to use.
The CDC recommends everyone ages 12 years and older receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster after completing their primary COVID-19 vaccination series. Some people are eligible to receive two boosters. Mixing brands of the vaccine is acceptable. Those eligible for a booster may choose to get any type, regardless of the original vaccine they received – including the two-dose (Pfizer and Moderna) or one-dose (Janssen) vaccine.
Phoebe Pharmacy offers all three COVID-19 vaccines which are authorized for use in the United States to prevent COVID-19. An mRNA vaccine, Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna, is preferred for the booster.
It is recommended to get a booster at least 5 months after completing your primary COVID-19 vaccination series, and if eligible for a second booster, at least 4 months after your first booster. For more information or to schedule a clinic, call 610-794-5382.
