State of the Art Software System: Framework is a powerful software package complete with numerous features designed to ensure resident safety and bar code technology to accurately track medications from packaging to delivery. Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR): Phoebe Pharmacy has the distinction of Premier Partner status for eMAR services with PointClickCare®. Our clinical nurse informaticist was the first in the country to be a PointClickCare® IMM Certified Pharmacy Partner Trainer. This means, Phoebe Pharmacy provides the training and support for PointClickCare®, saving facilities choosing this system those initial start-up costs. Additionally, our pharmacy was the beta site for development of the bi-directional interface between Framework and Point Click Care, so we are experienced in project management with outside vendors. We fully support both pharmacy initiated order workflow and physician initiated order workflow. Pharmacy Transition Services: A skilled team of our clinicians assist in the implementation of the eMAR system from staff training and physical installation to the transition of data from the pre-existing system. They also continue to support follow up questions and troubleshoot issues for the duration of the partnership

Efficient Packaging: The Parata PASS (Patient Adherence Strip System) offers a new, innovative approach to med-pass. Resident-specific, user friendly multi-dose strip packaging is utilized for safe and accurate dispensing while saving our clients’ money by minimizing medication waste. Package design is clearly labeled with the date, time of administration, medication name & description to assure timely and appropriate administration. Packets are equipped with barcodes that read multiple prescriptions supporting safe and efficient medication passes. While the multi-dose packaging is our recommendation for best practice, we still offer blister card packaging as an option.

Distribution: Our pharmacies are staffed with drivers employed by Phoebe Pharmacy 24/7/365 to exceed your routine and stat delivery requirements. Through the use of i-Phones, we provide real time driver tracking and proof of delivery for all items delivered. Our uniformed drivers are credentialed and have gone through an extensive background check process and training

Emergency and First Dose Dispensing: Immediate access to first dose and stat doses is available on site using Cubex technology. The inventory is determined based on facility specific requirements based on utilization.

Tech-Ready Med Carts are provided at no additional cost to your community. Phoebe Pharmacy utilizes Capsa HealthCare technology ready carts including the Avalo series and Vintage series.

Billing Expertise provided by the onsite pharmacy billing department allows for prompt communication with the dispensing pharmacy staff. This expedites claim processing and adjudication allowing us to better serve your residents and team members. Prior authorizations are handled in real time to reduce the risk of chargebacks to the facility.

Medicare Drug Plan Support for residents and their families is available 24 hours a day through a special hotline. Personal independent drug plan reviews designed to optimize plan benefits are also available for residents and families.
Consultant pharmacist services are provided by a group of pharmacists and nurse liaisons with advanced senior care and analytical expertise. During monthly on-site visits, consultants perform medication regimen reviews, provide education on medication management, and provide guidance on compliance with medication related regulations.

Drug Information: Our clients are provided with an on-line subscription to Lexi-Comp for comprehensive drug information available to all clinicians.

Medicare Part B Billing services are available for immunizations and certain classes of medications that are not covered by Medicare Part D.
